It’s so nice to see your face again!!
As you know, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has changed it’s COVID recommendations, and the Diocese of Venice is following suit.
If you’re fully vaccinated, you no longer need to wear a mask in Church or to socially distance from other people. If you’re not fully vaccinated or are immune system compromised, you are encouraged to continue mask-wearing and social-distancing for your own safety.
We neither can nor want to verify anyone’s vaccination status, so the honor system applies. Just remember, it’s not a good idea to lie in God’s house!
Obviously, anyone who wants to is welcome to continue wearing a mask and socially distance. God wants everyone to feel safe and comfortable in His house.
On a personal note, I want to thank all the parishioners who cheerfully put up with restrictions COVID has imposed on us in the last year, from Communion in the hand to running out of space at some masses. It’s nice to see light at the end of the tunnel and to see your smiling faces in that light!!
Thanks to the generosity of a couple of parishioners, we will continue live-streaming masses for as long as people want us to.
God bless and keep you and stay safe!
